Social Media Growth Report 2
What changed in the last month?
Since my first report, a lot has happened. For starters, baby #2 came a fcw weeks early & I have the craziest birth story… Maybe I’ll write a post about it soon.
Anyways, as far as social media, I tested out so many different things. Some things worked while others were a waste of time.
Okay, let’s get into a little analysis of the last month of testing.
What worked well?
YouTube. Niching down to INFJ content on my YouTube channel has been awesome. In the last 24 hours, 22 people have subscribed since I created the featured image for this update report.
I feel so inspired lately for YouTube, I do want to start making content on how to grow on YouTube. I might actually make a totally separate channel for that since I see how niching down really does make a difference in encouraging channel growth.
Threads. Surprisingly, I really like Instagram’s version of Twitter: the app Threads. Especially in stark comparison to Twitter. Threads is full of genuine people with light-hearted & interesting conversations.
I don’t really like the platform’s algorithm as it doesn’t exactly feel catered to my interests, but the overall experience has been very positive. I would highly recommend it over X (formerly known as Twitter).
What didn’t work well?
I decided X & a Podcast are not worth the time necessary to grow right now. Ironic as my website domain has “podcast” in it, but I can always create more podcasts one day.
For now, I just want to prioritize other pursuits that have higher ROI. Especially because I now have TWO babies to care for. It’s a little crazy!
But it forces me to make the most of my free time while they are sound asleep.
Conclusion
Overall, this is fun to track & make conscious pivoting decisions with. YouTube by far seems like the best investment of energy & resources for long-term success.
Pinterest is forever awesome, as old pins still continue to bring thousands of visitors to my site every month.
Okay, until next month!
